I’m not afraid of demons.
Looking at them is a way of emphasizing and connecting with your dark side. Even demons must get stressed, and sad. What hurts and torments them? Are they trying to communicate their sadness? Do they want to be seen? Do demons dream? Do they have nightmares too?
I’m not a religious person, so to me, demons are mythical creatures. They are man-made visualizations of the dark versions of ourselves.
Paintings these horned amigos helped me climb out of the darkest of depressions. Seeing them come out of my canvas made me face my own pains and empathize with their pain. I had to look at them in the eye and feel them as I painted them.
The music gave birth to them. These creatures wanted to be seen and acknowledged. Their energy is captured in the paintings.
